Becky Torres

Becky is a Consultant after being the Chief Compliance Officer of BDO Unibank in the Philippines. Her current interest is on food and travel creative writing, a different world from business writing in banking. Becky’s first food essay, Alaskan Salmon Bagoong, Unexpectedly, was awarded 2nd place in the 2017 Doreen Gamboa Fernandez (DGF) Food Writing Competition and was published in Sangkap together with other 2013-2017 winning DGF food essays. Becky’s engagement with Roots and Wings started in October 2020 with the feature of My Vigan - Returning to One’s Roots and Christmas Gems of Antipolo in December 2020.
