Jennifer Fergesen

Jennifer Fergesen is a writer and journalist of Filipino and European descent with a focus on immigrant foodways. Her series The Global Carinderia, an exploration of the Filipino diaspora through its restaurants, has received awards from the Commission for Filipinos Overseas, the Food Writers Association of the Philippines and the Philippine American Press Club, among others. Born in New Jersey, she has an MA in Creative Writing from the University of California, Davis and is currently based in Sacramento, where she writes a monthly restaurant column for Comstock's magazine.
